Policies and Procedures
By applying to the umbrella you are agreeing to the following:
(1) to take accountable responsibility for your child’s education.
(2) to submit a Registration Form.
(3) to submit a Curriculum form for each child being registered.
(4) to include the appropriate family membership fee ($55 when sent by 8/20, $65 when sent between 8/21-9/1, and $75 when sent between 9/2- 9/10) with a check payable to Heritage Homeschool Umbrella
(5) to participate in a pre-enrollment conference when initially joining the umbrella.
(6) to participate in a midterm telephone conference with your reviewer. This is an opportunity to discuss your progress and to note any changes in your curriculum, goals, and plans.
(7) to meet with your reviewer for an end-of-year conference at the church in May and to provide sufficient samples of each student’s work in each subject. This includes at least 20 high-quality samples that demonstrate progress throughout the year for each of the following subjects: English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and credited electives. This also includes a minimum of 10 samples each for Art, Music, Physical Education, and Health when these subjects are required. The purpose of this visit is to confirm your compliance with the state’s requirements by showing that the textbooks and lesson materials listed on the form were actually used for instruction throughout the school year.
(8) to work with your reviewer to correct any obvious deficiencies in your educational program. If you fail to cooperate in this effort, Heritage Homeschool Umbrella will be obligated to discontinue its umbrella coverage of your homeschooling.
We consider it an honor and a privilege to minister to homeschool families who maintain diligent, God-led obedience to a high standard in every aspect of their homeschooling. Please contact us at 410-551-9237 or email Sibell.kristie@gmail.com or goldie.morrow@heritage-cc.org
