50+ CLUB BAYSOX GAME || The 50+ Club is hosting a Pop-Up at the Bowie Baysox game on Sunday, August 26th. ALL are welcome! Attendees should purchase a General Admission ticket and look for a 50+ Board member to direct you to the appropriate section for the group. The Baysox play the Erie Sea Wolves. Gates open at 12:30pm, game starts at 1:35pm. Baysox Stadium is at 4101 Crain Highway, Bowie, MD. Box Office number is 301-805-6000. Tickets may be purchased online or at the gate. MPACT & ROYAL RANGERS ROUND-UP || Mpact Girls Clubs and Royal Rangers Round-Up coming on Wednesday, September 5th from 6-8:30pm in the Ministry Center parking lot. This event is an opportunity to get Boys & Girls signed up for Royal Rangers and MPact for the new school year. LADIES TEA || Join us on Saturday, September 22nd at 2pm in the Community Halls for our annual Ladies Tea. The Ladies tea shows kindness to others, brings friends together. 50+ CLUB MUSEUM OF THE BIBLE BUS TRIP || Museum of the Bible Bus Trip on Saturday, November 17th. We will be traveling to 400 4th Street, SW, Washington, DC. Cost is $35 per person and it includes bus and entrance fee. The bus will leave Heritage PROMPTLY at 9 a.m.; we suggest arriving at church by 8:30am. The bus will leave museum PROMPTLY at 3 p.m. and arrive at church approximately 4 p.m. Food/Drink cannot be taken into museum, there is a restaurant and cafe at the museum. LEDO PIZZA FUNDRAISER || Ledo Pizza Fundraiser Pop-Up on Tuesday, September 25 - ALL DAY. (8531 Veterans Highway, Millersville, MD 21108) Ledo’s will give the Heritage Community Church’s 50+ Club a portion of the sales receipts dropped in the basket at the front door of the location. 50+ Club members will be at the location during the lunch hour and after 5 pm. Tuesdays || VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball is an Adult Coed group of volleyball enthusiasts that meet from 6:30 – 8:30/9:00 pm on Tuesday nights. We play pick up games of loosely organized volleyball on two courts in Grand Hall 2 & 3. We are open to anyone from High School up through AARP certified. We do ask that you have basic volleyball skills (pass, set, spike) with a willingness to work on improving your skills, a reasonable knowledge of the game, and the physical ability to play the game. The level of play is well beyond the just for fun, backyard, slap the ball around kind of game, but still a little short of organized, competitive, indoor volleyball. If you are interested in exploring possible participation in Tuesday Night Volleyball, you can contact Pastor Cary Sharpe by phone at 410.551.8500 ext 1208. SCHOOL BACKPACK PROGRAM
School is back in session!!! Our back pack program is in need of food to help the 52 children we help every weekend with food. Our closet is empty. Please consider getting some extra non-perishable kid type food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. Please place in bread pantry containers around the campus.
