FREE TAX PREP || HCC offers FREE federal and state Income tax return preparation under the AARP Tax Aide program. This service is open to anyone, HCC members or not, who are elderly or have moderately low income. We have several counselors that work together on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm through April 9th. Appointments may be made by contacting Jay Hessey. Questions? SINGLES 35+ - CANDLE MAKING CLASS || Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 at 7pm. *16 slots available on a first-come, first-served basis. 8 is the minimum required to reserve this class. * This was a big hit last time, so please consider joining us for a really unique event at Candles Off Main in Annapolis. We'll learn the art of candle making and make our own take-home 8 oz candle. Bring your own beverages and snacks. Normal cost is $35, but we're getting it for $18.50. 50+ CLUB SOUPER SATURDAY || The 50+ Club is hosting a Souper Saturday event on March 9th from 12-3pm in the Gathering Place. Gather for homemade soup and sandwiches, and great fellowship of course! FREE event. Just sign-up starting February 17th so we can plan accordingly. Look for our table Sundays in the Ministry Center lobby during the In-Between Scene and at the Ministry Connection desk in the Sanctuary lobby 10am service. As our evangelism outreach, bring canned or dry packaged food for our Bread Pantry.
GRIEFSHARE || A 13 week, bible based support group/seminar for those grieving the death of a loved one. We are a very casual group and never pressure anyone to talk. We aim to provide a nurturing setting to help you walk through this most difficult journey. $15 fee includes workbook. The next session begins on March 11th and runs every Monday night for 13 weeks. CHESAPEAKE BAY WORK CAMP || If you or someone you know is unable to afford repairs to their own home, and they live within a 30-minute drive of the HCC and also reside in Anne Arundel County may apply for repairs to be done during the Chesapeake Bay Work Camp this July. Applications can be picked up at the Receptionist Desk in the Ministry Center Lobby at HCC. Sundays || THE ONE SERVICE || Join together with the HCC Family for our worship service, weekly on Sundays at 10am in the Sanctuary. Mondays || ESOL - English for Speakers of Other Languages
[Starts on February 4th, 2019] The English as a Second Language (ESOL) classes meet weekly on Mondays in Room 237. They are open to those whose first language is not English and who want to improve their English writing, reading, speaking and listening skills. Tuesdays || VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball is an Adult Coed group of volleyball enthusiasts that meet from 6:30 – 8:30/9:00 pm on Tuesday nights. We play pick up games of loosely organized volleyball on two courts in Grand Hall 2 & 3. We are open to anyone from High School up through AARP certified. We do ask that you have basic volleyball skills (pass, set, spike) with a willingness to work on improving your skills, a reasonable knowledge of the game, and the physical ability to play the game. The level of play is well beyond the just for fun, backyard, slap the ball around kind of game, but still a little short of organized, competitive, indoor volleyball. If you are interested in exploring possible participation in Tuesday Night Volleyball, you can contact Pastor Cary Sharpe by phone at 410.551.8500 ext 1208. [Starting February 12th, 2019] Divorce Care is a DVD driven discussion group for anyone who has been divorced, will be, or is separated and it meets in Room 239 weekly on Tuesdays. SCHOOL BACKPACK PROGRAM
School is back in session!!! Our back pack program is in need of food to help the 52 children we help every weekend with food. Our closet is empty. Please consider getting some extra non-perishable kid type food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. Please place in bread pantry containers around the campus.
