I arrived in Maryland in December of 2010. I have attended Heritage since January of 2014. I had been looking for a church home for a long time but just had not found the right fit. From that very first visit I knew that this church would be my home. It is very hard to explain but I just knew. Everyone was very warm and welcoming, which meant a lot to me.
I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio but I came to Maryland from Misawa, Japan. Before Japan, we lived in Aviano, Italy for almost six years. My husband is in the Air Force, so we have been able to travel and see a lot of places around the world. We are middle school sweethearts, have been married since August of 2000 and have 4 wonderful children, two girls and two boys.
I was introduced to this church by a client of mine. Along with working at Heritage, I am a licensed nail technician and have a small skincare business and enjoy both very much. I am very outgoing and both of these have allowed me to meet a lot of people.
I am the administrative assistant for our children’s department. Not long after joining the church, I started serving. I am apart of the worship team and I am called to work with the teens and younger children of our church. Everyday that I have the chance to work with them it brings absolute joy to my heart. That is how I was put into this job position for the children’s department. The director asked me to fill the position and I never had to give it a second thought. I really don’t view this as a job position but more as an honor to serve this department and church. I have a scripture on my office door, Colossians 3:23, Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. That is how I arrive to work everyday; I am here to serve the Lord. I love working here; we are all like one big family!
My goal is to continue to grow deeper in my relationship with God so that my life can be a testament to my children and to those I am in contact with everyday.
