Freedom Seed goal: To raise $250,000 beyond our regular giving, in order to subdivide about 13 acres on the back side of our property into salable lots. We believe that the proceeds from the sale will retire our total debt of 3.3 million. Thereby, putting HCC in a debt free position where we will realize $300k of surplus each year that could be turned into new and expanded ministry.

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’
— 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 NLT

FAQ’s:

What will it look like when completed?  |   Full rendering coming soon...

Why don’t we borrow the $250k and get on with it?  |  Borrowing the money for subdivision is in contradiction to our mortgage covenants, and IRS code for non-profit organizations.

Will HCC develop the land?  |  No. HCC will not put a shovel in the ground. This is entirely a matter of getting the lots to record plat with the county.

Will the proceeds be used for debt only?  |  Yes. If there are proceeds left after retiring the debt, those proceeds will be available for ministry use.
