Jane Gurganious is a Licensed Certified Clinical Social worker who has been practicing in the state of Maryland for 25 years specializing in issues facing the aging population. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1987 and her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Maryland and Baltimore in 1991 with a concentration in mental health. Ms. Gurganious has worked in both the community hospital and private practice settings assisting clients with assessments, placement, caregiving, and grief. Ms. Gurganious helps her clients adapt to the aging process, empowering them to better navigate the complex systems of care and make informed choices regarding their aging and end of life plans. Ms. Gurganious is currently in private practice in Severn, MD with Safe Harbor Christian Counseling www.safeharbor1.com.
Tracy Parker graduated from Towson University with Master Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 1993; Worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in Home Health, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, outpatient settings. Currently a Clinical Operations Area Director with Genesis Rehabilitation Services since 2000. Extensive experience with insurance reimbursement with specialty with Medicare, Maryland Medicaid, and private insurances. Been a manager in these various settings since 1998 to include management of rehabilitative services of physical, occupational and speech therapy, discharge to home planning, home evaluations, team approach to healthcare. Received oversite education of the affects of the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (Obamacare) in regards to Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance in the adult population with primary focus in geriatrics.
