Modern-day slavery, also known as human trafficking, is not only alive, but thriving across the United States. Maryland, in particular Anne Arundel County where this event will be held, is one of the top areas in the US for sex trafficking.
If you would like to bring freedom and restore dignity to trafficking survivors, consider joining us for our Annual Dash 4 Dignity 5K Run and Freedom Walk in Severn, MD held in the spring of each year. Events like this 5K run and walk raise both awareness of modern-day slavery and funds to bring sexually exploited individuals into freedom. Proceeds from this race will support the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC - EIN: 52-1328557), the leading nonprofit organization in the U.S. working with law enforcement, families and those professionals engaged in issues related to missing and sexually exploited children. For more information, click this link. The event will also support No Person Left Behind, a local outreach building long-term relationships with and serving the addicted, broken hearted, mentally challenged, homeless and otherwise hurting.
If you do not want to run or walk, but would like to join us, contact our race team at racedirector@dash4dignity, to sign up as a volunteer.
If you cannot join us and would like to contribute to this cause, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
We are seeking sponsors to defray race set up costs so that more of the monies raised through our registrations will go to support NCMEC. A chart with sponsorship levels is listed below.
